"My Work in Action"
As a
Bioinformatics Scientist:
In my role as a Bioinformatics Scientist, I analyze biological and health data to derive insights that can inform healthcare strategies, particularly in the context of infectious diseases.
Currently, I am applying data science techniques like machine learning and artificial intelligence to global health issues, particularly in resource-limited settings like Uganda.

My Inspiration
for persuing a PhD
Well, I have many answers to this one question yet all are valid…. First of all, I’ll be honest—it wasn’t always part of the plan. In fact, I was jobless at the time, having left some opportunities and offers behind in search of something more. I had gained significant experience in wet laboratory work—collecting biological data—but I realized that I wanted to gain the computational skills necessary to analyze that data.
The more I learned, the more I knew that this was my path. I wanted to make meaning out of the data I had learned to generate.

"My Work in Action"
as a wellness coach
In wellness coaching, my goal is to guide individuals to find balance in their lives. I believe that health isn’t just about treating illness but preventing it through lifestyle choices. I aim to create systems and tools that personalize wellness plans using data science—tailoring wellness strategies to individual needs based on health data, lifestyle patterns, and personal preferences. Ultimately, I envision a future where these two fields intersect in ways that empower people to live healthier, happier lives.
my definition to wellness:
To me, wellness is about balance—harmonious living that encompasses all facets of life. It’s about physical health, yes, but it’s also about mental clarity, emotional well-being, spiritual growth, and personal fulfillment. Wellness isn’t a destination; it’s a practice, a daily commitment to living mindfully and intentionally.
